The Red Grouper is available year round in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. It is considered a good source of vitamin B6 and B12, phosphorous, potassium, and selenium. It is extremely popular for baking, broiling, frying, poaching, or steaming because of its lean, firm flesh.
